I have been taking photos for over 20 years. My father was an artist and greatly inspired my photography. I spent 4 years studying a BA (Hons) in Photographic Practice mostly to understand in more detail how a camera works and to gain experience with a variety of different mediums of photography.
I have worked with little people in a variety of settings and love what I do. I have a family of my own and understand all too well about what being a parent entails. I have also worked with children who have lost limbs through Meningitis and presented imagery to promote awareness of the disease for the Meningitis Trust. I have worked with babies and children who have Spectrum disorders and understand the needs of a child who has extra needs all too well as two of my sister's have a disability, the youngest did not live a full life, but her happy disposition still inspires my work.
I have bundles of patience and always try to make the environment feel relaxed and comfortable as this is as important as the final image to me.
The best images often come out best when captured outdoors where children can be themselves. I also have a large amount of imagery taken in a studio setting.
My photography aims to draw out the character of a little person:
Simple. Beautiful. Elegant Portraiture...
